A: Selwood Products group trades in the UK, USA, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Poland, Canada and Italy. At Selwood Products we represent major manufacturing orgainisations and provide Wooden Playground Equipment, Cubbies, Climbing Frames and Swing Sets. Our two key brands are "Selwood Adventure Playsets" and "Selwood Big Backyard" Playsets.

Q: Installation - Are your playsets and climbing frames easy to build?
A: Our best selling wooden backyard swing sets and playgrounds are designed for home build. They all arrive fully boxed and with pre drilled lumber, all hardware and plastic components are supplies The Assembly Manual is very detailed and includes stage by stage picture based Instruction pages for simple home assembly. No special tools are required.

Q: What kind of wood do you use?
A: Our playsets are made from Cedar. Cedar is a strong wood that is very resistant to decay, rot and Termites. Our wood is NOT pressure treated with harmful chemicals. It is treated with a water-based solution that is both environmentally safe and kid-friendly. Our wood is also from a sustainable source.

Q: Will your products stand up to the harsh Australian Climate?
A: Our wood is durable and tough Cedar, Our Plastic and Painted Metal Components are UV Protected and Treated. Our Tarp Roofs are made of a durable thick synthetic material and not fabric. They are triple stitched so they are very durable and they are too are protected from the Sun.

Q: Do your products include the wood?
A: Yes. All our products come with all the wood and hardware you need to build the product. 90% of the wood is pre-drilled too. All you need is the tools and to read the assembly manual.

Q: Do your Playgrounds concreting?
A: No, the system is ground mounted and comes with fixing stakes.

Q: Do you hold stock in Australia?
A: Yes, we have warehousingand distribution facilities for our customers in both Auburn NSW and in Perth WA.

Q: For what age range are your playsets made?
A: Our Wooden Playgrounds and Playsets are for the age group 3-10 years.

Q: Can I use sand or mulch for the base of the playset?
A: Sand, mulch, and other soft materials are great for the ground under the playset area. However, the playset should NOT rest on these materials. You should make sure the ground is level and then use paving stones or other solid materials as the footers for the playset. You must also secure the set with ground stakes provided. Once the playset is securely resting on these solid footings, then you can surround it with your favorite soft material.

Q: How much area is required for the playset?
A: We recommend a 6 foot (1.8m) perimeter around the set and above it for maximum protection against interference with other yard items.
